Once again we are privileged to have the delightfully funny Ian Cover from the Coodabeen Champions as our Master of Ceremonies.





The 2017 Compassion SCA Champions Dinner heard from former NFL gridiron player and Sports Chaplain Mike Sanfratello from the USA!
Mike was a former San Fransisco 49er NFL all American Defensive End who has served as a Sports Chaplain in the US for over 16 years. Mike’s passion for life and sport takes an inspirational outlook on how to push through the tough times.

Joy Burke has had a prestigious playing career. Including playing for the USA and her country of birth Taiwan. More recently she has enjoyed her new role with Ballarat Rush in the SEABL.

Terry Dorrington, or ‘Dorro’ to his mates, has been a well loved and hugely influential sports chaplain in Perth WA for over 20 years. A former coppa hear Dorro’s journey with drivers, bikies and those who have had it tough.

Cameron Schwab
Father, Husband & AFL Nobility
Former Melbourne, Richmond and Fremantle CEO Cameron Schwab was the youngest CEO ever of an AFL club at 19 y.o. Cam will bring fresh insight into life inside and outside of professional sport.

Mark Peters
Commonwealth Games CEO
Mark was a former Australian Baseball player and former Executive Director of the Australian Sports Commission. A well respected leader in sport Mark is now heading up the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.
