Congratulations to NRL Parramatta Eels Chaplain George Dansey who won the Eels 2017 Michael Cronin Club Person of the Year Award.
This week, the Parramatta Eels hosted their annual 2017 Ken Thornett Medal at the Rosehill Gardens Racecourse, recognizing players from the NRL, Holden Cup and Intrust Super Premiership NSW Cup sides to mark the 2017 season.
Dansey was honoured to be awarded with the accolade.
“It feels amazing. I am so honoured to achieve this award,” Dansey said.
“A lot of the work that goes on behind the scenes has a lot to do with the off-field, with their families, their partners and all the guys that move into Sydney, Western Sydney. They go through injuries so I just try and create that support and encouragement when they need.”
