Good friend of SCA and champion for the disadvantaged, Reclink, recently announced, “The Turnbull Government has announced $2 million to be invested over two years to support Reclink Australia’s national program. The investment will reach out to some of the most vulnerable Australians and engage them in new sport and recreation programs that break down the barriers of isolation and promote positive life choices.”
Over the past 8 years SCA has worked alongside Reclink’s founder Peter Cullen AM and his team to help with appointing voluntary chaplains for their program sports teams across Australia.
Some of Reclink Australia’s activities have included, a 14 team AFL series across Victoria, a touch football series across South East Queensland involving 20 teams, and a learn to swim program in Tasmania for Afghan refugees.
If you, or someone you know has a heart to provide Christ’s grace and mercy to the disadvantaged and marginalised through a Reclink sports team please consider our fast-track sports chaplaincy training and accreditation and we will put you in contact with Peter and his team at Reclink.
