Australia’s greatest ever women’s tennis player Margaret Court told the Sports Chaplaincy Australia National Launch Melbourne’s Telstra Dome, “I could have won 6 Wimbledons had I had a Chaplain!”
Margaret Court was joined with an array of guest presenters including Jason Stevens, Tim Watson, David Beard, Master of Ceremonies.
Ray Walker and Australian Sports Commission CEO Mark Peters. Guests included VIP sports people from various codes including the AFL, Volleyball, Baseball and church leaders, business people and former sports greats. Cameron Butler noted that, “At a minimum we wanted to put Sports Chaplaincy on the radar for many sports organisations and felt that we achieved that successfully.”
