SPECIAL UPDATE: Phil Hughes and our State Cricket Chaplains.
Sad news on the death of Phil Hughes who died today after suffering head injuries received in a State Shield match on Tuesday.
Please pray for our cricket chaplains who have been doing an amazing job and now have a significant role to play with the family, friends and teammates of Phil.
Simon Flinders our NSW Blues Chaplain has already spent considerable time with the players, staff, family and Phil these past 2 days. Simon was a good friend of Hughes when he played for NSW. He has been supporting the Cricket community including bowler Sean Abbot.
South Australian Redbacks Chaplain and SCA State Coordinator Roger Johnston spent dinner on Tuesday night with Hughes’ teammates who remained in Adelaide.
Likewise Bushrangers Chaplain Adam Hince has been standing beside his team and staff what has been a extremely distressing time for Australian cricket and sport.
Please let others know to pray for the Hughes family, Australian Cricket and our chaplains through this tough time. Thanks again for your support.
