Adelaide Crows Chaplain Mark Purser has been invited by the Walsh family and his club to lead today’s celebration service at the Adelaide Oval in memory of their father and senior coach Phil Walsh.
Walsh was killed after an altercation with his 26 year old son on Friday 3 July 2015.
Long serving Port Adelaide chaplain Brandon Chaplin was invited by family to lead the service reflection. His club, Port Adelaide, generously paid for for his travel from north Queensland during a family vacation to participate in today’s service.
West Coast Eagles chaplain Paul Morrison also lead a time of reflection and prayer for the team as they also knew Walsh during his time as assistant coach.
