Danny McDowell from Pleasant St Baptist Church in Ballarat was announced as the new Greater Western Victoria Rebels (AFL TAC Cup) Chaplain this week.
Danny was invited to share for a few minutes at the parent Information afternoon. Saying, “I got some great feedback from the players and parents afterwards.” Adding, “A couple of mums came up to me afterwards and said, ‘We’re real glad you’re here.’”
McDowell went on to say, “Being very new to the team, I’d only had minimal contact with the players up to then. After the Jumper Presentation a number of the players came up and introduced themselves to me. I was a great welcome and made me feel part of the club.”
The Greater Western Rebels comprise 3 teams – TAC Cup (Under 18), Under 16’s & a Girls side.
