On Wednesday night Asher Kirby from the southern metro CBT in Melbourne ran a Level 1 Certificate of Community Sports Chaplaincy training night at Sandringham Yacht Club.
Seventeen representatives from local churches attended including representatives from churches in Frankston and City on a Hill in Melbourne.
Trainer Steve Stubbings said, “It was a great night seeing the enthusiasm from local churches wanting to connect with their local community.”

Of the seventeen trainee chaplains the sports of interest include, tennis, AFL, soccer, basketball, netball, table tennis, boxing, touch footy, lawn bowls, golf and cricket.
A SCA Certificate 2 in Sports Chaplaincy is being run at All Souls Sandringham in March 2017.

The SCA Level 2 – Certificate in Sports Chaplaincy (CSC-L2) course is a 3 day course which will prepare you for effective sports chaplaincy.
