The SCA family would like to send their heartfelt condolences to the family ‘one of our own’ in motor sport chaplain Gerry Watt who has gone home to be with the Lord this past week.
Gerry had been part of the motor sports chaplaincy team for more than 12 years. He faithfully served at Nowra Speedway and recently at Wakefield Park, near Goulbourn, with car and truck events.
Motor Racing Chaplain Richard Cormick said, “Gerry had battled with throat cancer for some time and the past months have been difficult.” Further adding, “He has been highly regarded and respected by the Nowra and Wakefield fraternities where his clear testimony for Jesus was evident in conversation and action.”
We give thanks for Gerry’s life and service to his King.
Please pray for his wife Kathy and her family as they say farewell.
